1 year old! | Raleigh Baby Photographer

Love this little guy and his family!  He's been walking for a couple of months now!  Not sure when he started, but i think it was around 7 or 8 months old!  His dad and mom are so sweet.  His dad will be leaving in the fall for training to become a navy chaplain!  Happy 1 year birthday little man!

Hello Sweet Blog Readers!  I am so very far behind...please forgive me if i have not blogged your session yet!  I have been traveling like a madwoman...and there is really no end in sight right now...so i press on!  Here is a sweet maternity and newborn session i did for a dear friend.  I just love how she is truly exhibiting the pregnancy "glow"...  Baby B was baptized yesterday.  I was out of town and missed it, but heard it was a very sweet time.  Congratulations!!

VYPE Magazine April 2009 Cover

VYPE Magazine is a high school sports magazine that covers the triangle area high schools - Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding areas.  I was flattered when they asked me to do the April cover shoot.  You can view VYPE magazine in its printed form online here or pick up a copy at local schools, fitness centers such as the YMCA, Harris Teeters, and many other locations.  You can also become a fan of their facebook page here.  

When i photographed Grayson Murry, I asked him if he was the next Tiger Woods...to which he replied, "I think I am."   He is only 15, and yet is following in Tiger's footsteps by becoming a three-peat Callaway Junior World Golf Champion.  Murry is definitely one to watch!

How cute are these pictures, taken in the rain?  Who says it has to be sunny for a session?? :)  I wish she had her rain boots on!

my new little niece, Katherine Ann Callahan, "Katie", named for my sister Meghan Ann, mom Hallie Ann and me :)  I am so thankful to have been flown home by my mom and stepdad to capture this fleeting moment in her life.  I'm in love...

And this is big brother Brooks...one of the sweetest nephews in the world.  He kept telling me over and over again, "I love you, Aunt Katie.  I miss you when you're at your house."  I'm in love...

My mom has taken up knitting :) and went to town knitting cocoons for her two new grandbabies (Avalea Rose pictured in a previous post)...here's a pink one...
and an adorable hat she knitted just for sweet Katie.
I'm so sad they live so far away in Little Rock!!!  I miss them already.  

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Thought it would be appropriate to upload these pictures of my two nieces to wish you guys a happy St. Patrick's Day!  St. Patrick's Day is a bigger deal in our family than most!  We are of Irish Descent, and my Dad, Granddad, Great Grandfather, Brother and now my son all have the name Patrick.  My two nieces both have Irish names, Aislynn and Avalea, and are "Irish twins", born 11 months apart.  I was able to photograph them a couple of weeks ago, and my SIL Wendy's friend made these matching outfits for the girls.  So, on behalf of our Irish little family....Happy St. Patrick's Day!
